Goal Statement: Improve our understanding and information on asthma and its impact on children and adults living in Washington State.

Focus: Responsible for developing a statewide resource guide and improving delivery of asthma data to the public.

Purpose:

1. To have a proposal for surveillance data that we can use this year as a way to impact communities.

2. Prioritize data to analyze and use immediately for surveillance and guidance in writing the asthma state plan, identify data sources for future analysis, identify possible data sources, collection methods and analysis system and develop proposals for future use.

3. Utilize data as a tool to work collaboratively with other chronic diseases

4. Advise on evaluation opportunities for the state asthma plan activities

5. To support us in future funding opportunities through developing a data-linked statewide resource guide.
