Brief History: Organized this last winter we have met approximately 7 times.
Mission: To increase awareness and improve diagnosis and management of asthma for the
greater Yakima Area in partnership with the Washington Asthma Initiative.

Vision: People with Asthma in Washington State will have an optimum quality of life.
Structure (committees/workgroups) & Meeting Frequency: Small group, so we tend
to work together as a work group. Meet on monthly basis.
Partners/Members (how many, organizations/types represented): American Lung
Association of Washington, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, Yakima Valley
Memorial Hospital, Apria Healthcare, Clean Air Authority, Educational Service
District #105 (school nurses), Yakima Department of Health, Environmental
Protection Agency, Tieton Village Drug, Northwest Asthma and Allergy, and
Children's Village.
Priorities: Resource Manual and increasing participating membership.
Activities: In progress-asthma manual.
Staff: 100% volunteer.
